Hi I'm Bob Flippa and welcome to "This Old House Flip". We will be investigating detailed examples of flippers attempting to quickly make a profit buying and selling the "American Dream" of owning a home in the San Diego County area. This blog serves to educate potential buyers of the unscrupulous activies of these flippers and will hopefully save you money in the longterm.

Absolutely, this is way over doing it. Most likely only 2 people live here.
at least you get your moneys worth in VC. 2.5 acres isn't bad. to rerip2007...some people like big houses, don't hate cause you don't have one. I have a 3500sq ft home in VC that just me and my wife live in.
I am from out of state (NYC area). We have taken RE courses in CA101 and SD101 and NSD101. We have been to many places in N SD county such as OS, SM, CB etc.
What is Valley Center like? Is it more like Vista or San Marcos?
Also, I noticed that this McMansion is still so bare, without any landscaping?
Valley Center is a rural area entirely zoned 2 acres and up so homes are spread out...not communist block housing like you see in Vista or San Marcos.
VC is also going to be a traffic nightmare with all the houses going in and 2 lane roads to service the community. Its 20* hotter there in summer than just over the hill in Escondido. Expect huge electric bills to run that A/C.
VC's main road is going to be 4 lanes by 2008, temp is the same as escondido, but with a breeze. My AC bill last summer did not exceed $120/ month for 3500 sq ft....house is well insulated so I rarely have to run it.
