What, a $270K loss in Carmel Valley?....Are you sure?

List Price: $620,000 - $670,000
Hi I'm Bob Flippa and welcome to "This Old House Flip". We will be investigating detailed examples of flippers attempting to quickly make a profit buying and selling the "American Dream" of owning a home in the San Diego County area. This blog serves to educate potential buyers of the unscrupulous activies of these flippers and will hopefully save you money in the longterm.

Mr. Flippa, there is one not far from this at 6941 Santa Fe Canyon Place, 92129 that is worse...if that can be possible. Sold in 3-06 for $1,200,000, and currently for sale for $950,000...OUCH! Don't the huge power lines in the photograph make you want to jump at this one? MANmom
Are all the houses in Carmel Valley this ugly?
Very interesting. This is a home in Arabella by Pardee Homes. They are currently selling new homes as follows: Plan 1D 5667 Shasta Daisy Trail 2,007 3 2 2 09/11/2007 $778,250
Plan 2A 5657 Shasta Daisy Trail 2,057 3 2 2 09/10/2007 $761,100
Plan 2C 5637 Shasta Daisy Trail 2,057 3 2 2 07/26/2007 $808,975
I wonder if this "used" home at a reduced price will induce the builder to lower prices?
OH man, this dude is desperate. I think I'll put down a fat $250,000 offer.
I HATE CARMEL VALLEY!!!!!!! Nobody has any yard. There is no Home Depot or Targets within 10 miles. Everybody's got attitude and think they live in "Del Mar". Ginormous Power Lines flank many of the homes there. Looked at 1 home there by a power line and my fillings in my teeth were tingling. It does affect you. My am radio station would not even tune in within 200 feet of the towers. The mello roos and taxes are out of site. Places like University City where it is more central make more sense. No MR's and lower taxes.
The problem with this blog is that is compares the previous sales price with the current asking price.
I am quite certain that this home will sell for more than the asking price. The low price is just a way to lure you to the open house.
I cannot influence the content of this blog, but it would be more useful to compare sales prices with sales prices and leave out the asking prices.
anon 10:25. perhaps you should pull your head out of the sand. this is 2007, not 2004-2005.
